WEDNESDAY WALKSEach Wednesday from late April to the end of August a ramble takes place in the attractive countryside that surrounds Manchester. These rambles are typically 3-4 miles in length and of 1½ to 2 hours duration. Boots or stout shoes are required since the terrain can be muddy. Meet at Brooklands Metrolink Station approach at 6.55 pm, transport by car to the start point of the walk is then pooled to reduce the number of cars and hence share the cost. At the end of the ramble we usually visit a local pub.
